Anicon 2012

Animecon 2012 The time when people just leave their regular lives behind and become part a friendly environment, where don't judge you for who you are but try to convince you that their anime is the best, where the only fighting is done on TV screens or during competitions. A place you can feel at home no matter what. i so look forward to the next one.

An extreme amount of talented people dressed up this year, Cosplay ranged from the Weird to Sexy to just AWESOME and some where a combination of both. with a bit of imagination you can just see your favorite characters come to life. to all of you that where present, thank you for making me welcomed because, I know any other time I would have approached a girl asking to take her picture or just talk to her they would have started running for the hills or slap me in the face. I actually emptied my camera's battery on the first day before nightfall (I still think that it was undercharged)I made sure that night to charge the batteries and make sure the spare is also charged. day 2 didn't wast much time after a quick Qigong presentation, it was back to taking pictures, this time i went more sparingly by taking most pictures outside saving energy on the flash, after the Cosplay-compo most participants went to a little park not far from the hotel for a photoshoot and just my luck, my bloody batteries dies in the middle of the photoshoot and I had forgotten (confident of the charge level) my spare in my bag in the bagroom at the hotel, had to make a quick walk to the hotel, but by the time i came back most cosplayers where leaving and/or getting tired of posing/extra make-up/extremely heavy weaponry, ooh well my lost met a nice group of people cosplaying characters from the Naruto series, these guys where nice people friendly, got so distracted from talking to them that i think i spaced out and forgot to photograph them (if you guys get to see this I am sorry), well back to the hotel more pictures saw the AMV-Compo more pictures, then went to the Japanese band M.O.V.E. concert they where great, a very interactive show.
